That would be cool, but you would need to have the drums visible in the frame....kinda like the can of beans that's been photographed all over the world. Let's see...the Taj Mahal from behind your kit, or maybe the Grand Canyon...

Why are there display your drumset threads here when we have a special photo section for that already?

Bob ... the short answer would be that the "Display your ______ threads" are brand or type specific, where as the Drum Image Gallery is anything you have with no particular, or specific, grouping. That has always been my take on it.

I never imagined a display your Ludwig or Slingerland drums thread could be thought of as silly. Like Tommyp said, the gallery is anything you have with no particular, or specific grouping.

I think someone is just bored and bidding for attention.

... and I believe you may be right JR! Bob ... you have stated your opinion, and even started a thread pertaining to it. You are quite entitled to that opinion of course! This thread took on a light and humorous air too, with some pretty funny contributions!, however ... I think everybody gets it: You don't like the "This is the display your _____ thread". Fine!, but we don't want to give the thread an opportunity to grow into a full blown house fire either. That being said, I think we're good here now! Your opinion has been duly noted. Gonna lock her down now ... :)
