Would aluminum foil drenched in vinegar, Coke, etc. scratch chrome as well?

Cheers

Steel wool will micro scratch chrome, nickle... Safe to use on some parts, sure. My biggest dislike is tiny bits of steel getting into places shouldn't be so don't use it much.

Pretty sorry but best pic I could come up with. The top snare shell is a MIJ chrome that has been hit with dry steel wool. Cant fix. The bottom snares are all examples that were never cleaned until I got them and that was micro-fiber towels and hand polish.

Best way to tell on an onlne auction is to ask for pics taken with a flash. Every defect will show.

I will not buy drums from people who admit to steel wool. It is destructive.
