The SLINGERLAND SPEED KING pedal Last viewed: 1 week ago

Yeah Blah Blah Blah.. I Know.. But using the philosophy "if you can't beat them, join them"..

I had the 70's Slingo pedal with a dodgy goal post, The speed king with the base plate pivot holes so elongated beyond repair that I decided to do this..

Happy with the outcome.. it works like a breeze.. absolutely no squeaks & very smooth action.. In fact I prefer the action to all of the later pedals that I have.

No mod to the Luddy post, just a service and paint job.. Foot plate mod so it attaches as usual, made the connecter piece from a piece of shelf racking, filed in a slot to take the spring steel clip and the nylon bits are spacers. made from some tap washers..

Cheers

I like it... and want one! Just think, I could use it on both my Slingerland and Ludwig kits and neither set would be jealous! Well done!
