Johnny,

Can you get me these for Christmas? As a young teenager, each manufacturer had something of interest. With Gretsch it was the Progressive Jazz outfit in champagne sparkle. I may have had one of these along the way. I know I had one in the 20,12,16 configuration and several Progressive Jazz set-ups in other colors. But this would look really nice under the tree. Don't tell me if you're going to get it though. I want it to be a surprise.

PS - Just to make sure you don't get the wrong one Johnny, this is the catalog picture I had in those days. Seems to have been from 1966. That might make a good thread come to think of it. Show the drum set you wanted for Christmas but didn't get. CryBaby

Here's a MIC set I customized last year for a Middle school Christmas concert. I got the idea of the candy cane motif from a red and white Vistalite set I saw on eBay. The lights around the hoops are micro LED's, and they can be set to either blink or stay on steady. The set gets a lot of attention around the holidays, and despite the so-so sound quality, I've used it myself for a show, and the audience loved it.
