Hey Guys,

Here is that 1966 Pioneer in Copper Lacquer cleaned up. I like the sound quite a bit. Fun little cleanup too. Thanks for the tips.

Thanks guys.

It is the same drum from ebay. My flash makes it look more red for sure. I think the ebay pics were probably truer to the actual color.

I have a very soft spot for that Finnish on a pioneer, my elementary school had a transition badged one with a "matching" orchestra bass drum we used as a set with a hi hat and bass pedal, no spurs folding metal chair on a strip of carpet so it wouldn't slide accross the lunch room floor.

Awesome snare you could display it in your front room as it looks like fine furniture.

I like Drums...

1964 Leedy (Slingerland) Blue n Silver Duco
1964 Ludwig Club Date Sparkling Silver Pearl
1966 Ludwig Super Classic Sparkling Silver Pearl
1968 Gretsch round badge modern jazz orange stain
1972 Slingerland 85N Pop outfit Light Blue Pearl
1976 Ludwig Vistalite clear
1981 Gretsch SSB Gran Prix Rosewood

She cleaned up really nice, worth every bit you paid,I think those are great blues/shuffle drums, and work great for Nawlins stuff too.

thanks for the feedback guys.

Now that I have been playing it for a few days, I'm starting to prefer my acrolite for jazz, but I will keep experimenting with it in terms of wires and heads. very nice tone though.

eamesuser: I definitely see your point about the blues / second line stuff.
