I have a '65 Slingerland 14x20 kick drum that has a bent t-handled tension rod.
Is there a place I can get a replacement that will look like the originals?
Or...is there a good way to bend them back?
Thanks,

steve,
i've seen them on ebay recently, they sell the originals in singles, search on slingerland, you may get lucky.
How bad is the bend? You can try putting it between two blocks of wood in a vise and try getting the bend out. Good luck
I was able to straighten out a '66 Ludwig Bass t-rod. I place the rod on a wooden block, covered the rod with a folded towel, and tapped it lightly with a hammer until it was straight. It was quite simple.
Or, as stated, they are on e-bay.....
