Tama Superstar finish

Hi. I just read where someone is saying that the vintage Tama Superstar 'Aquamarine' finish is a wrap and not a laquered finish. I've never heard this, I always thought they were stained green and laquered. Does anyone know the truth? Thanks.

Absolutely was a lacquer finish....close look at the shell shows that the wood grain shows through just like their Cherry Wine finish.

There is a dedicated website for vintage Tama Superstars....

Should provide you with what you need.
