The early catalogs do not show any shell information..

The 1977 catalog says 9 ply shells with reinforcement rings with a

"Zola Coat" interior finish

Does that match up with your drums?

Mi shells have reinforcement rings...but not "zola coated".

I think that the wood is mahogany...its almost obvius, the color of mahogany is unique.-
