Today from a local New England music chain ( Daddy's Junky Music ) I picked up a Tama Imperialstar 14"x6.5" snare in perfect condition for $40. Needed a little cleaning...but nothing uncommon for buying a used drum.I'm wondering what dates in which the drum was made. The strainer system is the style with two stariners and no butt. And the wires attatch with holes on either side. I havn't seen this one as much as the style with a strainer and butt pipe.If anyone can give me an age range it will be greatly appreacited. And my other question is about my Slingerland Radio King. Its a pre-serial number niles badge with clamshell lugs and clamshell strainer. And it uses the type of wires that screw onto both ends. I think its from the 50's but ebay has yet to yield any Radio King from the 50's that looks even close to mine. Again if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.
