So sometime back I had bought some blue sparkle wrap off a seller from Ebay. Never had a bad dealing with the guy personally. Seems though ( which I recently discovered ) he was notorious for not sending the wrap out, or sending out the wrong item, giving grief, not giving refunds or sending the right item,etc... Ebay booted him. I happened across an ad on CL and realized it was him, not realizing all of this information and decided to get enough wrap to do a bass drum to match my Tempro Orange Sparkle toms. Well two weeks has gone by with no wrap, gave me a run around, because I was foolish enough to send money via the family / friends option I can't get the resolution center behind me. Though the lady did say she was gonna put in for a credit and give my story with it, but no guarantee. I dunno what has me more upset. The fact that I was dumb enough to send the money that, or that I was dumb enough to get taken.
Suppose I got beat on this one....

Jay,
Look at it this way...we all make mistakes. The best we can do is try to learn from them. I hope you're not out too much!

Is this the guy out of Minnesota?

Can you report him to Craigs list? Sorry for your experience.
Thank you!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Is this the same guy?

The same seller as the Santa Fe ad has an one in the Nashville craigslist. $69 seems like a cheap price and looks great too. Paypal fee would be about $2 at that price.
Hopefully the seller honors the deal and makes it right. If not I hope he doesn't remain nameless.
I believe that Ardrummer has used that type of wrap with success, but I'm not sure who he purchased from.
Jay,
I believe I've bought wrap from that same guy on CL just a couple months ago. If it is the same guy, the wrap is not a glossy, hard plastic wrap; it's that soft vinyl, sparkle fabric you can buy at craft stores for a few dollars a yard. The seller contacted me quickly to let me know the green sparkle which I had ordered was out of stock. He told me he would refund my order or substitute silver sparkle. Since I was just rewrapping a set of MIC orphans for one of my students, the color really didn't matter so I settled for the silver. When the wrap arrived, I was surprised that it was indeed the green sparkle I had asked for, but I was disappointed that is was that shiny, vinyl fabric we've all seen on eBay and CL.
In hindsight, I should have just ordered one of the nice economy wraps from Walopus. Let us know how your situation works out.
Mike
You trusted somebody! Amen... the world gets pretty small when we can`t do that anymore. :(
