Suggestion regarding "For Sale" section

Maybe it could apply only to items listed in excess of (X amount) of money? $100, maybe? That way, if someone just needs a wing screw or something really small, it wouldn't be a hassle.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think what he means is... With a fee imposed on goods that are sold, sellers will increase the price of their offerings to offset the fee. While technically the seller is still PAYING this fee, it is the buyer really covers that cost

The buyer only pays what he/she feels is fair, right?

See my most recent suggestion. It's not really a "fee imposed" that a seller would need to offset, as much as a suggestion for sellers to list, in their sale, an agreement to donate a percentage back to the forum IF the item sells. Maybe I (or someone else) will come up with another idea later, but that's what I've got for now. x-mas3

And yes, sellers usually figure a price that they want to get after all factors (fees, donations, etc.) have been considered, anyway. Buyers are never forced to buy anything, after all.

And if there are negotiations done on PM that alter the listed selling price, then I think a seller should still honor his/her commitment to donate to the forum as suggested in the listing -since it's not an auction format (like eBay).

So, in other words, if I list a drum set for $1K and I agree to donate 3% in the listing BUT then I get an offer via PM for $900 and decide to accept the offer, I'll still donate the $30 bucks to the forum, regardless. See what I mean?Burger Kin

I'm good with this and believe it's very cool that the Big O has taken such a prominent and outspoken stance. Education is the key to most unlit fires within.

Of course ... does this mean both parties have to ship David a lug off of the two snares that they Trade?:p
