Stratford-Besson and Baxter

Loading...

Hello!

First timer from Finland asking some help...

I have these two kits, Stratford-Besson and Baxter.

Does anyone know anything about these labels?

Only thing I found from the web, was Stratford-catalogue from http://www.drumarchive.com/

But I couldn't find even the printing year of the catalogue.

That much I found out, that I have the "Shaftesbury"-outfit with Marine Pearl finish. Kit also contains original hihat- and snare stand and bass drum pedal.

Another kit is "Baxter Percussion", tt 12x8", ft 14x14", bd 20x14" and wooden snare 14x5". I guess that this one is some labels cheaper version, but wich ones?

Any kind of information is very welcome.

Thanks.

EDIT: 3 photos

Sorry for the bad quality of photos. I try to get one of Baxter-badge also.

Stratford-Besson is a brand of Boosey and Hawkes the makers of Ajax - these look almost identical to Ajax but had a few lugs less thats all...

The Baxter looks like an early prototype for the English made Rogers also from Boosey and Hawkes but it looks a real mix up with Trixon T screws
