Strange Pedal Mounting Problem-Your thoughts appreciated

Loading...

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

Luckily, this is an easy fix. I just moved that hoop and head to the front/reso side, and I'll use the brand new hoop as the batter. I use the same head for the reso and batter, so I'm okay there. I'll have to wait to use the kit until the hoop arrives (and I install the inlay), but at least I can solve the problem easily. Aren't you glad wood hoops are so affordable? (Sarcastic laughing ensues)

Thanks again! You guys are the best!

BTW-I put this same thread up, word for word down to the letter, on the Drummerworld Forum and it got deleted within 1 hour. Can't figure out why. Nothing inappropriate at all in my OP. That's why this forum rocks!

Not to be a downer but I've encountered this back-tilting of the BD pedal on brand new Precision BD hoops....to be honest I never figured out what the heck was going on - just glad when it don't happen, must have something to do with angle of the BD. The worst part is if the pedal does tilt back you get an unwanted "bounce" in the action...
