Ugly situation. I'm not likely to see it, but will watch for similar on eBay or C-list. Back east, Daddy's Junky Music (out of business a few years ago) had a policy of putting some gear on hold for 30 days due to the issue of theft. As I recall, the City of Boston also required it on used musical instruments taken in by Daddy's because so much gear was being lifted. Definitely worth watching the used gear shops out there closely.
Be reminded to keep your gear insured and keep a good photographic record and details of exactly what you have and what it cost you to acquire it. A setup like that one could easily run toward $5k and more even with depreciation that newer gear is subject to.
