Stamped Twice? - Page 1 - Vintage Drum Forum

This Zildjian has two different era stamps on her....

From the (very) little understanding I have about these things - One stamps appears to possibly be a fifties stamp and the other a sixties...

These are all I have for pictures - until I can take some myself after I receive her in a few days...

She's 20" and 2120g

I'm interested in any info or comments.

There are several examples of double stamps on Zildjians both here and on the other cymbal site. There are a few serious Zildjian historians on this forum. I'm not one of them. Be patient and one should be along shortly. In the meantime you could do some searches here for past threads relating to the double stamps.

It appears you have a late 50s and an early 60s stamp. The way it's hammered, it's obviously from that era. Why the cymbal would be stamped with two stamps, I don't know, but I've seen it before. Any guess I could offer would be pure speculation. So, I'll leave the floor to the true historians that RogerSling spoke of.
