Sonor stuff!

I just picked up my first Sonor kit yesterday. It is a 1st generation S Class.

I am in need of a few things:

Bass drum spur mechanism, the one with the kit was poorly attempted to be repaired by the previous owner.

Floor tom leg mount. I have the leg itself, but do not have the mount that the leg slides into.

Also if anyone has a spare Slotted Sonor key around, I really should get one.

Thanks

Steven

Welcome to the Sonor experience Jump For Joy

Have you checked ST Drums yet?? They have Sonor stuff, you might find something there. Also the Sonormuseum?? Here are the links:

I might have a spare key somewhere, I'll have a look and let you know.

Thank you for the leads!

I'm sure it will be quite an adventure finding parts! lol. I definitely do want original parts to avoid drilling holes in a drum that was designed to have as few holes as possible.

What about those auxiliary mounts that allowed for regular floor tom legs?

Any Sonor authorized dealer should have a slotted key in stock at a very reasonable price.

Probably free if you are a regular customer.

There "was" a pretty nice set of phonic/drop floor tom mounts on ebay that mite have the rite hole spacing for you.

Unfortunately the closest Sonor dealer to me appears to be 75 miles. I called around town the other day and the shops here had no clue what a slotted key was, or even that Sonor used this tension rod type. Guitar Center was a hoot though, he thought I was crazy "Is there a reason you have to have a Sonor type key? I mean a key is a key."
