Sonor Phonic parts?

Loading...

Hello All,

I just picked up a Sonor Phonic 14 x 22" Metallic Blue kick off eBay, ending an almost 10 year search. It needs some T's and claws and a front hoop, which made me hesitate to bid, but for some reason I NEVER see these singles. My questions are:

1. Will I go broke and/or die of old age before I find these parts? Are there decent non-Sonor replacements? This drum need not be 100% original.

2. Am I better off trying the replace the receiving lug nuts so I can more easily obtain T's?

3. Sources for parts besides eBay and sonormuseum?

Thanks,

Dan

stdrums.com They are in Germany. You wont wont find much on ebay, Used and new Sonor parts are much more plentiful in Germany. check out stdrums.com website and you will see. Click on sonor spare parts. I just bought a bunch of stuff from them and shipping takes 10-14 days. They take Paypal.

Yes,I have a 72 sonor swinger set and he was the only one that had many of the parts i needed! For some reason ebay does not have alot of sonor parts! And the shipping is pretty reasonable considering its coming from germany!!I would try and make a detailed list of all the parts you need first and then see what they have,so you only get hit with the shipping one time! Now if I could only find a metal replacement for those stupid plastic lugs!!

stdrums actually have their own lug which will fit and there are others out there. Some nice single hole options also. The big problem is the cost. The hardware will end up costing as much as the whole kit is worth.
