Don't know if anyone can help me on this one. I have some Sonor Swinger beech shells which I am refinishing and I need to remove the vent hole grommets. The weird thing about these grommets is that they are rounded over on the the outside of the shell but flush on the inside. In other words they don't protrude to the inside of the shell at all. So it looks they are driven into the hole from outside and are press fit into the the shell or maybe stretched with a tool after inserted.
So, how to get out without damaging the shells. I don't know if any other drums are made this way or not but I thought this would be the place to ask. Sorry no pics. I can get some later in the week if it will help (travelling right now).
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
