Sonor chrome snare, what model? No badge?

Loading...

Theres a Sonor snare that I just got and it is a mystery about a few things. First of all, I have never seen the throwoff like this, although it is much better functionally than the plastic round throwoffs I've seen similar era drums have on them. Additionally no badge or Sonor on the drum. It is a chrome drum, I think it may be Chrome over Brass, based on there being no magnetism on the shell, although there is a magnetism on the bearing edges, possibly they used a solder or welding material that is inside the curled edges? Looked it over carefully and there are no extra holes for a badge, although it could have had a stick-on badge? Not sure! The reason I know it is a Sonor is the hardware, the slotted tension rods, and the hoops. If anyone has any documentation about this type drum I would love to see it. I'll try to put some pictures on here from photobucket: http://s92.photobucket.com/user/modorange/library/Sonor%20Chrome%20Snare%20Drum?sort=2&page=1

D454? Thanks. This model has no badge, brand markings, etc.. but the parts all looked Sonor to me.

...yes, sonor did some snares and some swinger drums without badges. sometimes thy used Stickers as a badge. i think this was made to save some Money. almost all sonor swinger series drums had no badge!!!

I am kind of with Oddball on this one. It doesn't look like any Sonor that I have seen.
