Hey there. I t seems like I have seen discussion before about a solution to soak chrome parts in for cleaning and light rust removal.
Anyone have something that they like?
Much appreciated.

I use Dawn dishwashing liquid mixed with water. Usually let it soak over night. The results are amazing.

Thanks Mike.
I've used a product called Evaporust with success. Rust Check Rust Wash is also good.

I use diluted CLR (3 to 1 water/CLR), I put the parts in an old pot, add the CLR and heat it up on the stove to maybe 120 to 140 degrees then let it sit overnight. the next day I give them a light scrub with an old tooth brush and rinse them off. Parts usually look so good there's no need to polish.

I normally soak chrome parts in white vinegar for 10-12 hrs...Then, I use a toothbrush to gently rub the parts...After that, I use McGuire`s chrome polish for final detailing...
Cheers
All the above are good recommendations! Sometimes we tend to use what we have! I'm currently detailing a Ludwig 2012 Brass Edition Supraphonic. Just finished soaking the Imperial lugs in Dawn overnight. Really shiny chrome now!

I also recommend Dawn, but read the label and make sure your buying the Dishwashing liquid and not the antibacterial hand soap.
