snare stand and cymbal stand for 1960s kit

Loading...

Hi all,

It's me ...previous thread "old boy trying to reunite with his first drum kit" well great news member funky poodle has assisted me in finding the kit, mind you in meant a 29 hour round trip to New Brunswick to collect them and I only stopped for 1 hour sleeping at a gas station and short 15 minutes breaks when refueling, I guess you could say I was rather excited to get back home. I have already begun the restoration there are a couple parts missing which I am once again reaching out to you all for assistance to find them they consist of early 60's snare stand , bass mounted cymbal stand, and a couple rubber legs for the bass drum

the picture below hopefully will explain it better than my words, Animal is on the new kit which is missing the bass mounted cymbal and has an update snare stand but I would like to try and find one similar to the original kit on the right.

Thanking you all in advance for your help

Regards,

Vic

P.s I live in Alliston Ontario, hopefully the journey for these items will be more local or at least in Ontario.

Oh my wow. You actually found one.

Seems exactly like your first one.

I have never heard of anyone successful at getting their first kit Back again.

So happy for you.

I could use a Red Pearl Crest if it ever shows up.

They were cheaply made, but that red pearl color was so cool.

Hi Richm,

Glad you liked the story and the pics, the story was actually a lot longer this was the shorter version, not to bore all.

I know you replied to my first thread / post, sorry still trying to understand if this is one and the same or different, I'm assuming different. the kit you found for me was slightly different it had 2 toms and was missing all the bottom rims, however it was sold by the time I called I even tried to get the name or number of the person they sold to, but the seller said they had already deleted the mail. anyway in the end I got the exact kit and very pleased, now just to source a few missing parts and I'm all done

I have already spent many hours this week polishing all the rims, lugs and drums once the kit is complete I will post another pic

Thank you once again and to this great forum.

regards,

Vic
