Snare drum unknown brand?

Hello,

I've recently purchased this snare drum from a guy that was selling his dead father's drums, the drum doesnt have any badge which make is difficult to recognise, muffler has been removed below you can see some pics, does anybody know model and make at all please? Thank you!

Hi dajazz! (Yes, I'm up early!)

Your drum is a variation of many other MIT (Made In Taiwan) snare drums from the 1980's. I've not seen this style of lug before, though! The die-cast batter hoop isn't original, but probably makes the drum sound pretty good! I'm attaching pictures of my Rogers R-380, which is basically the same drum. Snare wires can still be found for these, usually for around $10.

Thanks idrumforfunm drumfx try to click on the link now please :) the drum sounds pretty good, shame muffler has been removed and has got a couple of dents from the lugs, like if you drop the drum and the lug hits the floor if that makes any sense?
