2" from below the collar?

Yes, it would have to be at least 2" from the collar, as the standard 1[SIZE="1"]7/8[/SIZE]" snare rod is too short for the floor tom. Maybe the overall size for the tom rod is 2[SIZE="1"]1/2[/SIZE]"?

A friend called me up asking for this rod. He just bought a RK floor tom from G.C. and it was missing one rod. I only have Ludwig and Rogers rods, so I told him I'd search for the right rod for his FT. Any help or info is appreciated.

Ok, just checked the rods on my 1967 16x16 floor tom. They are 2", measured from below the collar, with one inch of threads. Unfortunately, I don't have 2" tension rods.
