Vintage Slingerland Sound King - Chrome over brass - 5x14 - from the mid 70's - 8 lug shell with the 3 lines - zoomatic strainer - high "stick saver" hoops for excellent rim shots - serial #384005. It's missing the strainer knob but you can still turn the dial with your fingers(see video) and it is a bit rusty so it is for a player...not a collector. Everything works fine on this drum. There is a fiberskyn on top and new snare side head also. It sounds awesome. It comes with the muffler but I took it off so it can ring. I posted some clips on Youtube. One of them is a closeup of the drum so you can see its condition...and the rest are playing it. This came with a Slingerland set I used to have. I could never part with it because it sounds good. Well...now I need a crash cymbal as you can see in the videos...so I have to make a sacrifice. I have played on this snare for the last 13 years and I will miss it. For the videos I put it to the left of the set so you can get a good comparison next to a $600 DW Collector Series Brass. I am basically doing the same riffs in each video with a twist here or there, and the camera had different volume settings on some of the clips. I just felt like putting the last 3 clips on because Bella's birthday would be 4/22. Enjoy!
