Slingerland snare drum, wondering what the model is? Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Hi, I'm new to the boards but been playing music for years. I've got a question about this old snare I picked up recently. Its a Slingerland, can't remember the serial # exactly but I know its around 79,xxx. I'm trying to figure out the model of it. Its in nice shape and the Marine Pearl wrap isn't too yellowed, its a nice sounding snare. Its got 8 lugs and stick saver hoops. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for replying so quickly! It's got a stamp on the inside that says nov65, I assume that means it was made in November of 65? I was thinking it might be that model but I had also seen a student model with 8 lugs that was similar in the 65' catalog, but couldn't tell which it was.

Yes Nov 65 is date of MFG... The Student Model would be 6 lugs & the Radio King in that catalogue uses a different Strainer Assy..
