Hi, folks. This is my first post. I have enjoyed surfing the restoration section.
My one-owner 1964 Slingerland 3 piece set is badly faded, but in otherwise good condition. I added a floor tom in 1966 and it has less fading. Despite the overall condition, the fading has prevented any interest in the drums for vintage quality sale, so I will probably just restore and play them. I would like to re-wrap in the original gold or a black pearl. How hard is the original wrap to remove? What do you think about the non-glued wraps, such as Slammin’ Sam offers? I would stay with one of the 1964 catalog colors. I am adding a second post about the small tom mount.
