OK guys... more thinking out-loud on my part, and need some thought...
As I stated in the beginning, this is not a "true" Jet Repro as this started out by my using a set of Slingerland Marching toms.... 12x14, 12x16, 12x18. Taking away the 12x16 and adding in an 8x12.
Now, in all of this trying to decide what wrap to use, I've discovered that if I buy two full sheets of wrap and cut it myself, I can wrap the three drums and have enough left over to wrap the 12x16 as well.
Here's the questions that I need help with -- would it be odd for a small jazz-sized set to have 2 floor toms? Would it be worth my time and HELP the sale possibilites or HINDER? I've got the drum and hardware and it's only going to cost me a little more time to add the second floor tom.
I'm not a jazz drummer and my only experience with it was two semesters as the back-up drummer in the Jazz Ensemble at Fort Hays State Universtiy in Hays, KS back in the 70s... so I'd really like the input of some seasoned jazz drummers.
Thanks,
Bill
