Kevins - It is BIG.Hurting The snare side head was just 11.90 plus tax. They still make these heads on there standard runs but you need to order them special. My guess is they are generally uncommon so most places don’t stock them.

www.interstatemusic.com ...I've done business with them for years and can visit their store from time to time. I think going into a store and maintaining a good relationship can help. These folks can be helpful. I did have to wait for this type of order to be delivered with a huge shipment so that might have helped get a little better deal too.

Yep, I've dealt with them a few times.
I always seem to catch them a couple of weeks before they place their order, and end up waiting for an item or two...
They have good prices when they are running their sales.
I did receive two items from them that were not as advertised... Duplex snares for the Grovers I ordered, and 5-ply wood hoops for the 8-ply I ordered, but they fixed the problems without a lot of hassle.

Kevins - Yeah, they sell a lot of stuff at the prices they offer and order pallets full when they order from a company. They warehouse in a couple of different locations.
If I remember right, accordionist Frank Cascio started this store (Cascio Music) a long time ago and when he passed his son has evolved the business to compete with the likes of Guitar Center/Musician’s Friend, not an easy thing to do as an essentially “Mom & Pop” music store these days!

Hey, I think they are doing a pretty darn good job too.
The couple of times I needed to call them, a REAL PERSON picked up the phone and helped me. Even though I had a couple of problems, when we were done with them, I am still willing to purchase from them again.
In one of the first smaller restaurants I managed the owner taught me that a "customer problem" is a great opportunity to secure a new "regular customer".
If I can resolve the problem to the point that an unsatisfied customer is willing to come back and try us again, then that is some of the best positive advertising that can be achieved.

Kevins - What a coincidence, many years ago when I was a waiter at a restaurant in Florida, I learned that very thing that owner mentioned to you and I still look at it that way! Usually I made more money, and a new special customer when I handled a problem well than when everything went off without a hitch.
:)
Got her done !
Thanks to VTM2000 for helping me with putting on the badge, and to Mikey for the grommet and key holder !!!
