Here's a pic of Slingerland green satin flame kit I use to own.

Thanks for the pic! Yeah, I still haven't narrowed down what this particular satin wrap was called. It was like yours, but instead of the green "swooshing" with white, it was a darker green that "swooshed" with a teal blue color. The Slingerland kit in question is long gone, and I've also seen a Rogers kit wrapped in the same color. That, and the fact that I've never seen this color in a catalog, leads me to believe that it was a rewrap, but at the time I was assured that it was a factory color. Any other thoughts about this topic, or any other open discussions with the moderator that need to happen?

Good point. Yeah, the blue is a little more on the "aqua green" side than looking to be a true teal, I agree, but still suggests a hint of silver/gray. Which lighting, out of the options you presented, would you suggest for the maximal dispersion of the contrasting colors?

i have the same kit. stamped 1965. aqua green satin flame. however, mine's got a rail consolette with another tom. my snare is also a 1965 but ludwig acrolite. i love this kit sooooo much. too bad i am unable to post the pic here. i tried several times. :(
