The measurements are still off. Remove the heads and measure just the shell. The badge places it in the 60s. Can you post the serial number? That would narrow down "when" in the 60s.

Value is dependent upon several factors. We would need to know the condition of the bearing edges and such to be precise. If you want a rough idea of worth, check out ebays completed auctions of Slingerland 16 inch floor toms and factor in the differences - no leg mounts or legs, any damage you might find, and the wrap. WMP in good condition usually brings in anywhere from 5% to 15% more on 60s drums.

Probably 1964 or so.....

Leg mounts are expensive to replace, $70 to $100 for nice ones.

The legs, another $40 or so........

It's about a $250 drum, assuming good+ condition, so with the expense of replacing the parts, I wouldn't offer more than $100 to $130 or so.

It should be a 3-ply shell mahogany-poplar-mahogany

It might also be stamped inside the shell with a date... you might ask the seller to look for it?

The proper leg mounts for a '64 would be the push button style, but they are quite difficult to find in complete and working order. Lots of the '64 and earlier drums already have replacement leg mounts... the wing screw type, because the push button style mounts are notorious for slippage and needing the buttons replaced. They are interchangeable as far as mounting holes go.

I'm referencing the Drum Guide here on our site, and Rob Cook's book on Slingerland for a lot of this info........
