Slingerland experts-Help! BR TDR snare
More pics for you guys....tuned perfectly and sounds like a million bucks AND sitting atop its rightful place on a Slingy period correct rocket snare stand that I got from andrewdunsmore. Cool1
I'd like your comments in regard to Remo logo placement. At the badge, it puts the logo at the 8 o'clock position on the snare. I don't care for that as much as I like it at 11 or 12ish.....also, I've seen some pictures with the attachment of the internal tone control knob with the screw and washer/threaded knob reversed. Which is correct? flower
Nice job on the restoration,
Reversed is more common but there is little consistency, more often than not you will see (clockwise) throw off, badge, muffler, at 1 lug spacings on 8 luggers.
Often you see 2 lug spacing between throw and badge on 10 luggers, On my 10 lug Cob I have the two lug spacing for throw and badge but then the muffler is directly opposite the badge. I think it was dependant on how many lugs & who was on the drill that day.. ?
I usually place the head logo over the badge, helpful when you remove and reseat the same head.
Cheers
