Hello!
Did the Buddy Rich 6.5x14 3 vent 10 lug chrome over wood come in 5ply and also 3ply with re-ring shells?
Thanks for any input.

IF you are referring to the '76-'77 Buddy Rich snare then 5-ply only would be expected. That Buddy Rich model was essentially a TDR Deluxe Concert King. Per Slingerland historian Dr. Carl Wenk all the TDR snares were 5-ply. Also note that the 6.5 x 14 (wood model) is not even listed in the '76 catalog. Interested to hear from TommyP.

Hello!
Yep the 1976 catalog does list a 6x14 (No. 191) as opposed to a 6.5x14. I've never heard of one of those.
Question about vents if I may, if a drum is described as a "3 vent", would that count the vent hole with grommet and badge as one, then add 2 more around the shell?
I bought a 6.5x14 12 lug COB tdr spitfire that was listed as having 4 vents, it should be here tomorrow, so wondering about vents, forgot to ask seller and pics don't show.D' Drummer

Yes, that is the way I understand it to be.
