Hello,
I have a 4x14 piccolo in copper with a badge number of 941035 in excellent condition. I'm wondering if anyone has any info for me on this snare? Thanks, Doug

With out photos, the drum sound like a M.I.T. drum .Does it have 8 or 10 lugs per a side?.Has a big black and silver badge? If it does its maybe a 75.00 drum....Mikey
Cool! I love piccolo's...
If you decide to sell, and I can afford it, I'm interested...
Hello and thanks for the info. What I am interested in finding out is app. when this snare was made and was it actually made by Slingerland, a knock off, or made by a company for Slingerland etc.
Thank you, Doug
According to this link (http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/slingerland_badges.html), your drum was imported. See the badges at the bottom of the linked page.

Hi flyfields,
I have a drum similar to yours, except mine has a brass shell not copper, and it has a close serial # as well. Mine has a date sticker on the interior of 1993. As MIKEY777 mentioned, made in Taiwan. These drums were imported by Gretsch when they owned Slingerland.
I really like the sound of mine, not too bad a
snare.
Hope this info helps.
Cheers Stevo.
Like Stevo, I have a similar drum, bought about the same time. Mine's not in as good a shape as your, but I think it's brass instead of copper. Had to put a Pearl throw on it, as the Zoomatic that it came with lasted no time. But the drum sounds really good. I was thinking of asking $50 for mine, so I'm sure your is worth more.
Good luck.
Stephen
