Got a deal on Ludwig preserial hardware and with it was a 17 inch old A crash

Now I’m pretty long in the tooth and it takes a lot to impress me on pies .

With all the hype with K’s I’d put this sweet pie up against most any of them .

Make’s you really wonder is it luck of the draw , or were there a few codgers back then hammering and lathing with a great ear on both sides of the ocean !!!!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I have owned several 17" A crashes. Something about them. They really sound nice. Sounds like you found a good one.
