Nice work Kevin. Does Simichrome have a strong an odor as most cleaners? I use Blue Magic and it works great, but it gets a little strong sometimes.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
+1 for Simichrome. Love that stuff. I don't think it smells at all.
I haven't used it on drum hardware yet but I use it exclusively when polishing aluminum cases on me British motorcycles. I've done some polishing on my wife's stone work as well with it.
Stuff is out-of- sight!Yes Sir

Nope Simichrome and this!? this is exactly what kevin used on this leedy lug, I've using this trick for years, with all types of scorn from a select few, it is not commercial available, I am able to get it from a Very High end furniture maker.
Mark, what is that? Kind of looks like some kind of steel wool cloth?

Wow, what a difference.
I once had a metal finisher tell me. "Spray very fine steel wool with WD40 to prevent scratches, and to also make the wool clean and glide easier.

Add me to the Simichrome Fanclub as well!
I started using it the same way Bigdrummie did and the stuff is fantastic.
