My orphan Frankenkit. I no longer own that bass drum.

Until I can find a ‘62 floor tom for my birth year kit this tenor drum dated May of ‘63 will have to do. I cut down an old no-name snare stand to hold it. It actually sounds pretty good.
I found this virgin club date bass along with the round badge Gretsch floor tom together
so having my choice of any brand mounted tom to add
I went for the Slingerland because it was a different brand than the other two
This Slingerland mid to late fifties virgin bass was painted purple
I got the paint off and rebuilt the drum with some random sixties hardware
I already had the mounted tom and I originally bought the floor tom to complete
another much more pristine Slingerland project but I liked the way it matched
with these orphaned drums much better
This black diamond pearl kit is made from a Slingerland bass drum shell
with random maple hoops and Japanese Sonor knock off lugs and rods to match the two Japanese made Stewart toms
The factory Slingerland tom mount receiver, spurs, and spur brackets, are player's grade at best and were added later just because they came along at a low price
