I need to make a short snare stand for my Deep Popper snare.
It's a 13x9 Kent tom shell converted into a snare drum, so it sits WAY high on even the shortest snare stand I have..... a newer Pearl.
Anybody done this?

Ok Kev,I have done this many times..The best way is to fine a cheap M.I.J. snare stand and cut away you can do this two ways cut down the top tube or remove the clamp on the bottom tube of stand the one the T nut goes into and cut down that tube put the clamp back on you just made yourself a short snare drum stand..Mikey
