Does anyone have any super-secret product or technique for removing glue residue from a wrapped shell? I am working on a shell that had some kind of contact paper put on over the wrap. The wrap is still perfectly intact, but is covered with this god-awful glue crap.
I have tried Goo Gone spray gel, regular Goo Gone (which seems to work slightly better,) and industrial strength Goof-Off. The Goof-Off will remove the top portion of the glue, but not all of it.
Anything else I should try, or is elbow grease and time going to be the only way to clean this thing up?
