Round badge cut off date

I'm trying to figure out if there was a definite end date to the Round Badge or if it was a gradual switch?

I would say around 1969.

I bought a RB kit new in 1969. I should have kept the kit.......I've said that many times over the years haha.

There are records of Stop Sign Badged (SSB#1) made in 1969 too. So I would say the Round Badges phased out 69-70....just an educated guess from what I've read. Richard (Rick) Gier put together a book titled....Dating of Vintage Gretsch Drums Based Upon Serial Numbers: Challenging the Legend, Lore and Lies. It has some good information.
