Hello,

I've stumbled across a mysterious single 14" hihat bottom cymbal, weighing 645 g, made of hammered bronze (I think it's B20). It has a nice crash sound.

The engraved stamp says: 'Rotana (or Botana?) Ges. gesch. Constantinople' and shows a crescent plus one star.

The wording 'Ges. gesch.' is German, meaning 'Registered trademark'. Rotana is inside of a similar to a rhombus shape.

So the stamp is German, but the wording Constantinople reminds me of Italian (UFIP?) origin ... Anyone any idea, where it comes from?

As always: many thanks for your kind and prompt assistance in advance.

Cheers, Ralf
