Rogers XP-8 kit inquiry

Loading...

Hello to all, first I would like to say that this site is an incredible place to learn about all things rogers. I am happy to say that after some time I have decided to get back into playing. I have always owned and loved the great vintage era kits. My last was a.I'd 70s sonor kit. This time I really just stumbled onto this gem on craigslist. It is a beautiful and mint 5pc koa wrap. It was advertised as a powertone but after some research I believe its an xp-8 I also believe it is a 1976-78 year. It has all memriloc hardware and swiv o matic pedal and hi hat. The first thing I found strange is the rack toms are both 13 inch. Its a 13,13,16,22. I will add a photo to view. If anyone can further enlightn me or correct me, it would be appreciated. A am also currently bidding on a great lot of nos memriloc add ons. I have been playing for years and on many kits but I have to say that rogers are by far the best sounding, strongest and most versatile hardwar ever! The hardware configurations are endless! Thanks to all!

I've been watching that collection of Memriloc parts. The bidding has gone way over what would be sensible for me to get shipped to the UK. If you win and find you don't need one of those cymbal arms, please let me know. I've been looking for one for some time.

Mine isn't original but all XP8s except the snare and some modifications.
