I'm thinking about buying this blue glass glitter Rogers. It has the script badge and I believe they are Fullerton era. The toms are in good condition and original, but the kick was modified with fold out spurs, making four extra holes on each side. It has a 13,16,20. He's asking $600, thanks.
Rogers Value
The picture, though blurry, does not seem to be the sizes you listed. Looks like 2 upper toms, and maybe a 16 floor. Maybe get some clarification on picture or stated sizes.
With modification on BD, IMHO not worth $700. Hard to really get value with info you have here. If the collets on the tom holders are the cast type, then definitely Fullerton.
Let me clarify, that picture is of the 12,13,16, he's not including the 12. It's the only picture I have.

Here's a better picture of toms and and a few of the kick.
I don't understand the epidemic of terrible photos in ads these days. Doesn't most everyone have a decent camera phone?
That said, I'm confused about the bass drum. Was it originally special ordered without telescoping spurs? And what massive rectangular part was mounted to the top that would cause discoloration, yet required no additional holes to be drilled? Or perhaps it was a sticker or something to cover up the stock holes...

Vater,
I share your confusion. I can't figure out why the bass is drilled for knobby mounts where the telescoping spur mounts should be. Rogers did offer folding spurs which utilized knobby mounts, but that was during the Cleveland period. Shouldn't see this on a Fullerton bass.
And what about that dark square around the tom post mount? Almost looks like someone attached the tom mount backing plate on top of the bass rather than inside the bass. Can't figure this bass out. I'd like to see the internal tag just to verify if it's Fullerton.
Mike
I'm not convinced those are knobby mounts; the holes look too large and/or too close together. Looks very non-Rogers.
Overall it's not a bad looking kit. I'd still want to see more pictures and ask a few more questions, though, like whether or not all the parts are there (tom arms, mufflers, etc.), and if the blackish rectangle on top of the drum can be removed. Seems to be a decent player's kit and should clean up fairly easily. Definitely wouldn't spend more than $400 or 500 for those three drums.

These are all valid questions, unfortunately the seller doesn't know anymore than I do.
Pictures of the paper tags would be of some use.
