Rogers Tom need some Tips!!!

Loading...

Hy Guys,

i need your opinion about my Rogers Tom. I got that whole kit a few weeks ago for very(i wrote it in another thread) less money, and i want to keep it as a playersset, but still stay very original (because i have all the original hardware as well).

My question is; the 12" tom has some marks where the former owner did not take care, because for me it looks, that the tom had contact with the snare during playing. Is there a method to get rid of that marks without re wraping it?

The wrap is in brilliant condition(of the whole set) just this marks on the toms!

Any ideas ?

THXS for every tip:-)Help2

Since the damage goes thru the wrap and exposes the wood, rewrap is the only way to totally get rid of them. However, using a permanent black magic marker will do as well as anything to hide the exposed wood.

I've used matching fingernail polish on those types of marks a few times.

There are plenty enough Big R drums out there as orphans. Find a replacement, pay attention to your badge number and find one reasonably close. I think I see your badge number as D75xxxx, which puts this drum around 1978, five ply with reinforcement rings, speckled gray interior. Your options for a similar replacement give you a lot to choose from.
