Thank you for your reply!

It says on the badge it’s Dyna-Sonic.

so i’m confused...

you say it’s dayton?

i’ve never worked with Rogers snare drum b4...

so i have little understanding with models and sub models.

can you explain to me a little more what i have in my hands?

Dayton, Ohio and Fullerton, California are places where the manufacturing was done. Rogers moved from Dayton to Fullerton and it's important to Rogers aficionados which plant it was made in. Yours comes from a time of transition...the move was around 1969.

And in case you need parts, the Dyna-Sonic is being produced once again:

thanks to a number of dedicated people who brought Rogers back from the grave.

the wired thing is, that it doesn’t have the bridge patent.

so i thought it was earlier the 1969.

Hello AZDan...and Welcome to the forum! When you say it has no "bridge patent", do you mean that the bridge itself is missing? If so, this was a common issue with drummers who just didn't understand how to properly adjust and tune the Dynasonic. Rather than spend a little time to understand how it works, they simply removed the bridge and attached a new set of "standard" wires with either string or strap. The whole idea of the Dynasonic is that bridge! Here's a link to our partner website, explaining and showing how to properly set up the Dynasonic... http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/rogers_dynasonic_set_up2.html

AZDan,

In the single picture you posted, the area around the badge appears quite dark, much darker than the aluminum badge. By any chance is this a wood shelled drum or is it the more common chrome-over-brass shell? The reason I ask is that wood shell Dynasonics are significantly more valuable than the metal shell versions, and are highly collectable. Could you post a pic of the entire drum?
