Rogers local find

Funny Post

I agree. I think I prefer the shed in unrestored "players-grade" condition. Lots of personality.

So Manny, exactly what was needed on that beautiful kit that the buyer thought was "too much work"?

Ya the old shed had a cool old look to it but at some point you have to "save" it. that siding was certainly at its life's end and that chimney would have been leaking soon. I bet Dans neighbors appreciate the remodel! It was done tastefully for sure.

So, back to the drums. Manny, are you selling?

Thank you!

Awesome save on the shed, why waste a nice structure if you don't have to? Pain in the but to frame, way easier to reside/roof.

Oh, nice Rogers set too Manny :)

Found it!!

Cool shed...but I kinda liked the Deliverance/Slingblade (I call it a Kaiser blade) vibe of the old look.

The entire place was Slingblade when we got it. Abandoned for 5 -years. No choice but to square it away.

So Manny,

Hello, are you there???? Bump

Thanks Jeff. The shed was probably close to a tear-down, but I have a tendency to try to save things. I plan to fully insulate it this summer and install soundproofing to protect the neighbors. Should work because they have already said that they only get a faint sound when I play. Savings things goes for drums too. Up close, the black onyx set has seen better days, but I have become quite fond of the 20, 13, 16 layout over the past few years. Manny gave me a great deal on it and the only thing that is not original is one set of claws and rods that were missing. I got a correct set off eBay for short $$. If the wrap had not become a problem, it would have been a collector piece based on the condition of the rest of the kit. I figured I'd do it over in jet black eventually, but for now it's fine given it's not being played out.So Manny, inquiring minds want to know what you are going to do with the red onyx set??????

I might play the kit or sell it at some point. I tend to just list some of my kits on eBay at high prices or on my FB page for what I would like to get for them. If they sell great; I can go after other kits.

These days I am very busy with 3 kids now, my work, and my businesses. It is a lot easier to post on FB versus online.

Awesome shed you have there!
