Rogers Dynasonic wood snare drum

Loading...

From Dan Boucher

It looks as if the snare frame was cut. One one end the extensions that rest on the bottom hoop seats appears to be missing. Could be just the way I'm viewing the pictures. Other than that, it appears to be the real deal and a good deal.

I took another look at the frame. I think it's complete. Just a bad reading of the pictures.

The $2 to 3K premium for a wood dyna will probably dip to a more modest price point.

They won't become worthless, but the rarity that made them a holy grail will no longer be there.

That's already happened though, and it had nothing to do with the NEW Rogers making it's debut now. Wood Dynasonics used to sell for, get this: $3000.00 to as much as $4000.00 not that long ago! Today, the price has moved downwards to $1500.00 to $1800.00, maybe $2000.00 for one of the rarer wraps. There aren't any more ORIGINAL wood Dynasonics out there today than there were 15 years ago of course! ... but the market has slipped. For someone that has always wanted a Rogers wood Dynasonic, $799.99 is an attractive price point. But is it a real Dynasonic??? Ya, I guess it is in a sense ... it's just NOT an ORIGINAL Rogers Dynasonic. Sematics? Not for me to judge! I have two, a 1967 and a 1968, both in WMP. I'm quite content with those!, although again ... I doubt I could get back what I paid for the near MINT 1968 though. :)

The seller sent me a message that the price went up to €700. I don't have that budget for a snare right now.

Sounds like bait and switch.

Eric!

Repost by all means! There have been a few glitches as of late. Quite random, but does not appear to be a hack. Working on it!

I've been keeping a basic spread sheet of recent wood classic Rogers Dynasonic solds since September. With four 5'' that I could find, 2 from ebay and 2 from private sales the median sold price is $1355. No major issues on any of them except snare beds added on one and a big R era bride on another...
