Rogers Dyna-Sonic Snare Case

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a snare case for a vintage Dyna-Sonic 5X14 snare? Need to be able to accommodate the snare frame.

I use a regular 14 inch softcase by Protectionracket. It's a snug fit but works great. Also, Hardcase's 14 inch case does the job.

Best,

I use a foam-padded hard case for both my 5x14 Dyna and my 6½x14 Dyna, but any case should work as the snare frame does not extend below the snare gates on the reso hoop. The snare frame will not come in contact with the case.

Ahead has recently released two cases specifically for the Dynasonic. 5" and 6½" depths. I have the latter and like it. It has a little channel for the snare frame and the funky Ahead not-quite-round shape to accommodate the snare throw-off. Finished roughly like my Protection Racket cases inside and out. Here's a price list with part numbers: [ame="http://bigbangdist.com/consumer112010/10armor.pdf"]http://bigbangdist.com/consumer112010/10armor.pdf[/ame] Cheers!

Retail price is a little better: http://www.lonestarpercussion.com/Cases-Bags/Snare-Drum-Soft-Cases-Bags/Ahead-AR3011DS-5-Deep-x-14-Diameter-Dyna-Sonic-Snare-Case.html

I have two of the Ahead Dyna-Sonic cases. They will never be sold, traded, or let go.

I had to laugh John. I think I've seen the latter part of this quote assigned to all your Rogers drums and gear. :)

I wish I could say that. I've recently sold several of my kits, have one to go in Florida and will have more to go in Maine next summer. I just had too many for the space I have available.

They say talking about it helps to sell it! Well it did. I did! Got one on the way for my 6.5.
