I just picked up this Rogers kit in a silver glass glitter finish. He included all the correct tom and cymbal mounts, I just need to put them on.
The 8x12 is Cleveland and the 16x16, 14x20 are Dayton. Great price to boot.Cool1
telescoping cymbal mount .... Swingtime.
Knobby cymbal L Arm Mount.... Headliner.
Both... Best ever 4 piece set ups in history.
I am biased.
Not knowing badges and stuff... at least... later in 1967 towards 68 and later.
I see Thompson Ts and Claws, ...? speckled interior, ?.
Nice score.
Wow! they look great! Interesting that he had the "best tom mount available" & decided to take it off. FYI, I saw one of those blank cover plates for sale on ebay at a pretty high price; they don't look all that special but are worth some dough. I've been on the lookout for a SS Rogers kit myself, but am now looking at a blue glass glitter kit. Enjoy! happy for you.......marko
Very Nice! I'm jealous.

Here's the interior of the 12, 20 and what looks like an original head on the floor tom, it has the grey speckled interior, the tag says Dayton and the number is 107981.
12.......66
A bit earlier. Not really difficult. Chances are good, these came together and weren't married as orphans. Flat Gray all around... most definitely. Rogers had some delivery, and return issues not long after CBS took over in April/May 1966. Within a year, they had changed the warehousing facility, screwed up the distribution process, and caused hundreds of drums to be returned by small shops. They went from 1200+ drums a week going out... to more coming in. It took a few months to equalize. During this time... Cleveland tags were being used, Dayton tags began to be used...Cleveland Dayton 60k range overlaps. Sets with 1 Cleveland or 1 Dayton and two of the other....... Orders were being filled with drums on hand. There is no fundamental difference in a Dayton 61k Holiday and a Cleveland 61 K Holiday. They are identical in construct and finish. They built drums that sounded good.
Cleveland and Dayton were where the offices were during that time. The drums came out of the same warehouse in Covington I believe.
Plates can likely fetch a better price than the missing mounts. Either way, the hole pattern is the same, so easy to get in original configuration.
Nice buy there.
Swingtime setup. Nice. Will sound great too.
You'll look a long time to find one that is not faded. That one looks uniformly faded, which is important.
