I am thinking of selling one of my PowerTone snares. These are great drums, and although it was my number one for many years (and why I had a spare) I have decided to keep only one of them, as it does not see the use it once did.

Now they have both been in storage for years, so look a bit crusty at the moment (still in the box so no pics yet). One is an earlier drum, and one is a Fullerton, which is the one I will be selling I think. Frankly they are the same exact drum except for the paper tag (script badge on both), but the Fullerton one has the wrong (but still Rogers) throw-off on it (no extra holes). Until recently I never knew if this one was correct or the one on the other drum was correct, because the correct one is the same as the DynaSonic (which has 10 lugs) and these have eight lugs. (I actually prefer eight lugs as it lets the shell sing a bit more than a 10 lug drum). I have tinnitus thanks to this snare drum... Handle with care!

Anyway, if you are interested in trying the Rogers sound, but don't want to spend a ton of money, let me know and we'll chat. I will also consider interesting trades (particularly a snare for my old D-20 kit) and I also have a particular affection for all piccolo snares...:) I like the sound of Ludwig Downbeat (is that the right name?) piccolo's since I restored one (20?)years ago for my drum teacher, but I think those are typically quite a bit more than PowerTones in equal condition. A rough one however might be an option...

I may tear it down and restore it before listing photos but my schedule is pretty full these days.Mind Blowi
