Rogers Cleveland Tone Control Question

From mchair303

Mark,THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I received the package and expected to see just the slotted nut in a small envelope, so I was stunned to find the slotted nut mounted on a "like-new" tone control shaft along with the proper locking nut and original spring. Geez, you practically gave me a whole tone control mechanism! Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and thanks to you, a Cleveland tom is now wearing the proper attire. Needless to say, I owe you one.And congrats on scoring that "new" 14" Slingy FT. If I come across anything Slingerland, it will be on its way to you. Thanks again!Mike

Hi Mike!

I'm very happy I was able to help with your Rogers restoration! Like many of us here on VDF, we tend to accumulate hundreds of parts over the years. I'm at that point in my life where it's not about making some $$$ selling these parts, but to "pay it forward" by supplying parts for little to nothing, only to help others enjoy their vintage drums. As an example, I'm currently putting together a MIJ chrome-shell snare from parts I have. My plan is to offer it in the For Sale section, but only charging for actual shipping and for the buyer to make a small donation to our wonderful VDF website. It costs quite a bit for all that bandwidth!
